Alliance working well in Asia

The Aquatic – JFO Alliance heralded its first major Asian project success last month when it assisted in the disconnection, decommissioning and removal of an RTM buoy  off the coast of Australia.

The project scope, which was required to clear the seabed and buoy following the departure of the Armada Claire FPSO, is the second time the alliance has gone global, following on from the very successful project in the Gulf of Mexico and several other operations in Europe.

Jack Davidson, managing director at JFO, said of the operation:

‘Joining forces with Aquatic not only doubles our expertise; it widens the breadth of fields and areas we can work in and the bases we can operate out of.

‘Technicians from both companies have been trained on each others equipment, reducing costs and improving efficiencies in one hit.  Due to our fully stocked bases in Singapore and Malaysia, we are able to mobilise quickly.’

Martin Charles managing director at Aquatic Engineering & Construction Ltd, an Acteon company, said of the completed project:

‘The Alliance continues to go from strength to strength, and our latest collaboration has cemented what is a strong working relationship not only in the UK but worldwide.’

Bolstered by their dual expertise, the Aquatic – JFO Alliance delivers an enhanced customer experience to address the needs of offshore oil and gas, telecommunications and renewable energy industries worldwide.
