Scope of Work

James Fisher Offshore (JFO) recently completed a 24” and 36” shore pull operation in KSA, utilising our 500Te linear winch spread.

Prior to mobilisation 2 x FAT pull tests were performed at our regional facility in Dammam. Firstly, to 320Te utilising 90mm test wire and grippers, and secondly to 500Te utilising 115mm Test wire and grippers.

For the 24” shore pull, JFO pulled a combined length of over 4000mtrs of wire utilising 90mm wire rope. 4 Socket passes were required during the full shore pull operation.

For the 36” shore pull, JFO pulled a combined length of over 3500mtrs of wire utilising both 90mm and 115mm wire rope. 4 socket passes were required during the full shore pull operation.

Scope of Supply

Included within the full equipment of supply was:

• 500Te Linear winch
• 80Te spooler
• Equalising sheave
• Hold back rigging
• Clump weights.

Supported and delivered by a team of 6 JFO multi-skilled personnel, for all shore pull operations.

Results and Benefits

Both shore pull operations were completed successfully for our customer as per their requirements. The end client was extremely happy with both the experience and professionalism of all JFO technicians and performance of the equipment supplied.
