Support for Schools

Since 2009, Fisher Offshore has enjoyed a School Employer Partnership with local secondary school, Meldrum Academy. The purpose of this partnership is to:

• Support and enrich the curriculum for pupils
• Support staff in the development of relevance in courses
• Support the professional development of Fisher Offshore staff.

To achieve these aims, personnel from Fisher Offshore support a variety of activities at the school, including mock interviews, recruitment fairs, confidence building sessions and employer engagement events. Pupils from Meldrum Academy are also offered work experience placements at Fisher Offshore.

Fisher Offshore also provides local out of school provider, Meldrum Kids’ Klub (MKK), with ongoing support.

Support for Sport: Fisher Offshore is one of the sponsors of the popular local sporting event, ‘Run Garioch’. The 2011 event was bigger than ever with entrants able to choose from 5K, 10K and half marathon races.  Fun runs of various distances were also available for junior joggers to enter.

Fisher Offshore’s Financial Director, Chris Winward, has flown the flag for Fisher Offshore in past events, having been placed among the top five runners in the last four years – and winning the 10K race in 2009.
